Carmen has worked as a mammography technologist for over 25 years. She grew up in Spain and moved to the United States planning to get a nursing degree. She was fortunate enough to shadow radiology technicians at a local hospital, and immediately knew radiology was her calling.
Carmen received her certification and training from Los Angeles City College. Due to a family history of breast cancer, she chose mammography as her specialty.
She is licensed in mammography at the state and national level and has also become a certified legal interpreter and translator in Spanish. Carmen’s favorite part of her job is interacting with patients and offering her support during exams.
Outside of work, she loves surfing, reading, running, and, most of all, traveling back home to Europe every year to visit her family.
